Happy Halloween!
A bunch of people have been calling American Airless
(1-800-248-4737) to get their tires foam filled. All you have to do is mail them your tire and they will fill them at a reasonable price. Infact, when you consider how brutal the BattleBox arena saws are you can't afford NOT to foam fill your tires. All my robots use their foam filled tires. If you don't do it today you will not get your tires back in time. If you call ask for Bruce Hoseman.

I had a dressing room. Cool.
Jay was very funny off-camera. During a practice run he told the band to stand back from Toe-Crusher or they might have to change their name to "Matchbox 19". Matchbox Twenty were surprisingly humble and very cool. The lead guitarist came up earlier and spent a lot of time checking out Tentoumushi and T.C. And, of course, Lisa Winters was awesome!

Well, when it rains it pours.
First off I would like to announce a New Sponsor! I'm excited to say that Pristine Gems has joined the Coolrobots sponsorship family. They will be sponsoring the return of Toe Crusher.
Speaking of Toe-Crusher, you can catch him fight Lisa Winter's Tentoumushi on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno!!!!
Please tune in tonight (Wednesday October 25th) at 11:30 PM on NBC (Must See).

The list of robots is out! Things to note- Mark Setrakian is bringing two excellent robots to the event. If you've never seen the snake in action you're in for a treat. Ray Scully and Mark Bradford have a robot in every weight class. Dan Danknick is bringing a new one -War Machine, and yours truly is taking Toe-Crusher out of retirement.
And finally we will see the return of World Peace to the super-heavy-weight class.

I have added more robots to the Robot DataBase thanks to Andrew Lindsey of Team Spike. Unfortunately you might have a hard time reaching his site at the moment -he is currently changing servers. I suggest you try to reach Andrew's site from time to time because he does an excellent job documenting Robot Wars 1996 and 1997.
To see most of the new robots go to the Robot DataBase and select robots from 0 to 27 lbs, leaving all the other selections alone. You should get back about 6 pages of new robots from years past.
Speaking of the Robot DataBase, a lot of people have been submiting their robots, but unfortunately I could not add most to the DataBase without actual photos. If you have something built, then please e-mail a picture to christian@coolrobots.com, otherwise keep building.
If you are a new (or old!) builder and you are looking for other builders near you, Jim Smentowski has built a really cool Builder Database.

I have posted some pictures of Minion's damage and repairs. Don't worry fellow competitors -these photos were taken a month ago and Minion will be ready by November.

The Story of Minion version 2.0

I have created a Minion 2000 Page. It shows the second incarnation of Minion and has a funny photo of the team with Robot Godfather Trey Roski in the background.

Andrew Rudolph from Miami FL sent me this killer photo of Ronin along with the TV Week article. Ronin, built by Peter Abrahamson, is a great robot from Team Sinister.
The article also mentions Korey Kline from Rammstein fame.
